Research at Auburn delivers real-world benefits, educating students who influence change and enhance the ways we reach out to serve our community.
Research With Real-World Benefits
Auburn is at the forefront of partnerships that deliver real-world solutions, from partnering with NASA to advance additive manufacturing to developing autonomous driving technology in commercial and military applications.

Educating Leaders to Influence Change
Astronaut and Auburn alumna Jan Davis logged more than 670 hours and orbited Earth 325 times on three Space Shuttle flights. Our more than 140 undergraduate degree programs have this in common: They all prepare students to enter the workforce and be influential in their industries
Serving the Social Good
Auburn empowers students to make a difference within Alabama’s borders and across the globe. The Auburn University Educational Complex in Gulf Shores, AL, is an educational outpost for the university and a resource for the Gulf Coast. Since 1993, Auburn’s Rural Studio has been building sustainable homes and buildings in the Black Belt region of Alabama. Students gain hands-on experience in the communities they help build, and those communities benefit from thoughtful and responsible design.
