Laura D. Grill, RN, MBA
President and Chief Executive Officer
Laura Grill serves as president and chief executive officer of The East Alabama Health Care Authority. Her leadership responsibilities include the Authority’s two hospitals, East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika and East Alabama Medical Center – Lanier in Valley.
Laura currently serves as the legislative chairperson for the Alabama Hospital Association. She also serves on several other boards including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, the Business Council of Alabama, the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind Foundation, AmeriFirst Bank, and United Way of Lee County. She also serves on the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Endowment Committee and is an Auburn University Women’s Resource Advisory member. She has also served on the boards of Habitat for Humanity – Lee County, Affiliate and the Chamber of Commerce of Opelika.
Laura has served the Authority in various roles since June 1992. She received her Bachelor of science Degree in Nursing in 1984 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master’s in Business Administration in 1990 from the University of Alabama.
